Marie Curie Chemistry Scholarship

Impact

Marie Curie received her first Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903 for the study of spontaneous radiation and her second Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1911 in recognition of her services to the advancement of chemistry by the discovery of the elements radium and polonium (so called by Marie in honor of her native land, Poland). This scholarship celebrates passion for chemistry and recognizes a Mt. SAC student in their achievements.
