Impact

Monira was attending Mt. SAC when she was unexpectedly killed in a freeway shooting. She was a bright, beautiful girl with a passion for helping others. Monira was studying microbiology at Mt. SAC and hoping to transfer to a four-year university to become a physician’s assistant. She was a compassionate human being with a heart of gold and a desire to help others. In honor of her memory, her family and friends have established a scholarship for students, like Monira, who have aspirations of pursuing a career in the medical field. At least one scholarship will be awarded each year to a deserving student, with the hope that these students will carry on Monira’s legacy of helping others, which she could not accomplish during her short life.
