Impact

This award is named in memory of Art Mazmanian – an All-American second baseman for USC’s first College World Series championship team, long-time minor league manager, U.S. Olympic baseball team coach, and a beloved Mountie. On the occasion of naming Mazmanian Field, a scholarship in the name of Mt. SAC’s star baseball coach Art Mazmanian was established in his honor. Given to a deserving baseball or softball student-athlete, the award pays tribute to “Coach Maz’s” thirty-one years of service to the Mt. SAC family.
