Impact

This award honors the memory of Patrick and Joan Mauch. Patrick and Joan Mauch were married for 41 years and believed that a higher education degree creates an opportunity to succeed in life no matter what socio-economic status background you have. They were also strong advocates for Mt. SAC. Seven of their nine children attended Mt. SAC. Patrick Mauch worked for Hacienda La Puente Unified School District for 34 years at all three high schools. He was a counselor and coach at La Puente, an Assistant Principal at Workman, and Principal at Los Altos. He loved working with students and did not miss a day of work in 34 years. This scholarship is in their honor, to an Aspire student who has the goal of transferring to a university.
