Pomona Valley Pilots Association
Pomona Valley Pilots Association Scholarship
Impact
The Pomona Valley Pilots Association (PVPA) was started in 1960 to promote general aviation and flying in the San Gabriel Valley and its local airports. The PVPA has been a strong supporter of aviation education and has offered aviation scholarships to Mt. SAC students for more than two decades. The funds are generated through the proceeds of the Cable Airshow, which is held each January. The scholarships are given to students studying to become air traffic controllers, aviation maintenance technicians, and commercial pilots.
