Daniel Anderson Memorial Scholarship
Impact
This award has been established in memory of physics and engineering Professor Daniel Patrick Anderson. A former Mt. SAC student who transferred to UCLA for his bachelor’s in physics and then went on to earn a master’s in engineering from Cal Poly Pomona University. Professor Anderson taught both physics and engineering during his 18 years as a Mt. SAC faculty member. He was well known for coaching our highly successful robotics team and was one of the original faculty mentors who helped create Mt. SAC’s STEM Center. Professor Anderson was passionate about helping students and regularly worked with them on independent study classes. He was especially instrumental in inspiring students to consider and pursue engineering as a career.
