Amahni E. Yarber Second Chances Scholarship

For many, Mt. SAC is a place for second chances, but the support of the Mt. Sac community often extends well beyond academics. We understand that students are people first. Life presents many challenges and various factors can impact a person’s academic performance outside of school, including mental and physical health difficulties, economic hardship, former incarceration, etc.

This scholarship is intended to support those who have faced educational or personal obstacles along their path but choose to persevere despite them.

Maybe you haven’t had a perfect track record, but now you have a renewed determination to turn things around and you are using your Mt. Sac education as a means to get there.
