Mt. SAC is home to the state’s most successful community college athletics program. Since the awards inception in 2004, the Mt. SAC Athletics Program has captured thirteen National Association of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) Cup Championships, as the states most outstanding overall (men’s and women’s) athletics program. The men and women student-athletes at Mt. SAC have captured 98 state championships and 17 South Coast Conference Athletic Supremacy Award Titles (inception in 2001). In 2015, Mt. SAC was also crowned the Learfield Sports Directors Cup Champions as the nation’s top overall community college sports program. The championship program currently offers 24 intercollegiate sports and is an integral part of the College’s overall education offerings. The spirit of Mt. SAC student-athletes success on the field and in the classroom is celebrated by this award.
