Sophia B. Clarke Memorial Journalism Scholarship, part of The Osher Initiative for California Community College Students

Sophia Clarke started her association with Mt. San Antonio College when the College first opened its doors in 1947. She, along with her popcorn wagon, became a virtual fixture at every game and event held on campus. She continued to operate the concession stand for over 30 years and remains a spirited fan of the College to this day. This is only one of her many contributions to the College. This award recognizes an exceptional student who is pursuing a career in journalism.
